The JMSF-1I Soil Moisture Sensor features high stability, simple installation and maintenance operations, and excellent sealing performance, allowing it to be buried in soil for long-term use without corrosion. It also boasts strong anti-interference capability, long transmission distance, high measurement accuracy, and fast response speed. The product is primarily used in agricultural irrigation systems, soil moisture monitoring, and hydrological and hydraulic monitoring.
The soil moisture content sensor employs a crystal oscillator to generate high-frequency signals transmitted to parallel metal probes. The generated signal and the returned signal are superimposed, leveraging the property that water’s dielectric constant is significantly larger than most substances. As moisture content increases, the dielectric constant rises accordingly. By comparing the amplitude of the measured signals, the sensor determines the soil’s dielectric constant, thereby measuring its moisture content.
